Every filmmaker has once fallen in love with a frame.
During a certain film-watching experience, we are touched by a moment, and later painstakingly think about replicating it.
Mustering all our abilities and resources, we learned to operate the camera, distinguished different lenses, set up lighting, arranged art direction, and rolled soundtracks. There are countless moments of excitement and frustration, countless sleepless nights, until finally we have the courage to press the record button.
Reflecting on this journey, we find we have come a long way.
We have ultimately changed. The quiet ones have learned to communicate, and the restless ones have become composed.
Yet, we remain the same, pursuing–with all our ideas and strengths–a profound, compelling, and gratified frame.
